DDNS with namecheap?
I'm trying to set up DDNS with CPanel. The instructions don't work; when I try to execute the custom DDNS update command
curl -s https://mydomain.com/cpanelwebcall/longstringofasciigarbage
I get a 404 not found error.
It appears to be using a LiteSpeed web server.
What might be misconfigured? Can I fix it myself, or must namecheap do it?

Hey there! Since you don't have root access to the server, you'll likely need to reach out to NameCheap to see what they recommend on their machines in this situation.

Thanks for the reply!
I'd really like DDNS to work. I asked NameCheap about this two weeks ago, and they simply said that they don't support DDNS via CPanel -- they only support it with their own nameservers, which are only marginally compatible with the CPanel web hosting. Having learned that for sure it's technically possible for them to support it in CPanel, I'm wondering what's up. I submitted a new ticket to them this morning to try to push them on this, but having gotten a negative response before I feel it may not be enough.
Is there a reason they might not support it, like that it costs extra money, or that it decreases security, or that it's incompatible with some other options, or that it's difficult to set up and maintain?
Is there anything I can point them to, like cpanel support or documentation to help make it easier for them to support DDNS?
I really don't want to change my web hosting (again), but if they can't do it, what might be my best options be to get a fully working web hosting with also DDNS?

It's fully included in cPanel, so there isn't an extra cost to them for that tool, but each provider has their own infrastructure and choose to offer a certain service or not. The only specific docs I have for this are the ones at https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/domains/dynamic-dns/
I would expect this to work with all cPanel servers, but you could ask any host specifically if they support DDNS before you sign up.
