Database Connection Issues on Client's Spiritual Gleam Website

Hi everyone,

I’m managing a website called Spiritual Gleam, which focuses on symbolism and spiritual meanings. Recently, I’ve been facing intermittent issues with the site’s database connection. Sometimes, it fails to connect, showing the typical Error establishing a database connection message.

I’ve already checked the following:

• Database credentials are correct in the wp-config.php file.
• MySQL server is running, and there’s no high resource usage on the server.
• Tried restarting the MySQL service, but the issue still happens randomly.

Is there something I might be overlooking in terms of server/database settings in cPanel that could be causing this? Any help would be appreciated!

  Hey there!  The main question for this type of issue would be "do you have root access to the server?"  If yes, then you can check the MySQL error log (typically located at /var/log/mysqld.log) to see if there are more details about the issue around the time the connection fails.

  If you don't have root access to the machine, there isn't much you can do besides contacting your host to have them check the logs for you.
