Wp Toolkit Hire a developer
Hi Cpanel - what's with the latest Hire a developer link in WP toolkit.
This pretty sneaky as its an affiliate link so webpros earns a commission on referrals.
Considering this is a commercial product i find it highly irritating. If this is across thousands of servers embedding this commercial link to poach our clients dev work, so you can make a commission. Its not ethical at all
How you please advise how i disable this, and this should not be enabled by default. Very disappointing to say the least

Hey there!
One of the major points of concern in the life of a WordPress site admin is getting reliable help with developing their WordPress site. Neither cPanel Support nor the majority of hosting providers are in a good position to help site admins with developing WordPress as that is third-party software with many available addons.
With that in mind, it was decided to enable this feature and implement the integration of the Codeable platform. It offers access to top WordPress experts and developers, who can do all sorts of WordPress development jobs, from simple consulting to writing custom plugins for your e-commerce site.
For businesses that do offer such development resources to their clients there is an option to disable this feature inside all domains at the WHM level. Simply visit WHM >> WP Toolkit, click the "Settings" link at the top of the page, and then choose the "Link Hidden" option. If this is a service you want to provide to your clients directly, you can specify an alternative link on the same page through the "Link to custom URL" field.
Please let me know if you have any other questions on this and I'll be happy to help!

I also wanted to mention that I did create a case for a documentation team so they can get some WHM-level and cPanel-level docs added that explains more about this feature, so future searches won't come up empty handed.

Thanks for the info cPRex - we will have to disable this manually on each server. Still it shouldn't be by default, and you shouldn't be making money off it - on this scale i would argue that you have now millions of referral links out there creating a sneaky revenue stream...
Can you confirm if Cpanel receives financial kickback for referrals?, Its pretty obvious that the decision to incorporate an affiliate link is commercially driven and not to help site admins with their WordPress problems... Its not a decision cpanel or more rightly the venture capitalists behind web pros should just make.

I've reached out to the team for more details on that since I personally don't know the answer to this one - I'll post more details as soon as I have them!

I appreciate they help with how to disable this cPRex, but the method you have listed isn't even remotely acceptable to anyone that has dozens of cPanel servers let alone those in the hundreds.
How is this diabled from CLI?
Is there a WHMAPI1 command for it, of a file that needs touched or config option somewhere that needs to be set?0 -
oempire - sorry for the delay on my answers. This is a new area for us and I wanted to ensure I got you the correct information.
At this time, yes, we do earn an affiliate commission. However, we plan to add this to our Partner Revenue Sharing program soon - you can find more details about this at https://webpros.com/partner-revenue-share-program/ and there will likely be an announcement when this particular tool is included.
It's important to note that in addition to hiding the link, you can customize it to direct to your own support if this is a service you plan to offer your clients, as I talked about in the above post in the Settings area.
brads - you can use the following command to disable that option directly from the command line:
# wp-toolkit --config -operation set -option-name hireDeveloperFeatureSource -option-value none

Of course - even if I know some answers may not be what everyone wants to hear, I still promise to share the most correct information I can.

I did want to let everyone in this thread know that we have created a support article with details on how to change or remove that option from the interface:
