LetsEncrypt AutoSSL provider absent in interface
AnsweredHello,
The LetsEncrypt AutoSSL provider is absent from my WHM interface. I just have "Disabled" listed.
It's a fresh install of the latest version of WHM (11.122.0.17), properly licenced (cPanel Premier Metal) and stuff.
The installation instructions from the previous versions link to a file that does not exist on this install (/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/install_lets_encrypt_autossl_provider). The documentation says that it doesn't have to be installed because it's default, but... it's not there, so...
If I try to check a domain, it says AutoSSL is disabled. Which it is, meaning LetsEncrypt is actually missing and it's not just a GUI glitch.
What can I do to get it working?

Jure

Perhaps relevant: The cpanel-letsencrypt-v2 package does seem to be installed and the files it contains seem present.
cpanel_and_whm: 11.122.0.17
operating_system_name: rocky
operating_system_version: 9Is there a log file where I could look for errors or something?

Hey there! Was this cPanel license purchased directly from us, or was this purchased from a third-party provider? License providers do have the ability to disable various features, including AutoSSL, and some do that to promote their own services.

Thank you for your answer. We have indeed purchased using a third-party reseller.
We have licences for two other servers purchased over them and they show no such restrictions, nor was it ever mentioned in the purchase process, however I suppose it's possible they limited it accidentially. I will contact them.
Shouldn't the interface mention that the AutoSSL provider is disabled in the license?

I'm actually not sure what the interface says when that is disabled, but the provider would be able to fix that issue no matter what the cause is. If not, let me know and we'll go from there!

I've just noticed that there is a hidden error message at the top which I was able to copy out:

Perhaps if I simply create this file?

You wouldn't be able to just touch that file, but have you tried recreating your registration? You can use the details here to do that:

The item in step #2 does not exist.
Will give it a shot (or adapt it if the link is out of date) and let you know.

Fix works.
Hopefully this thread helps a future googler.

I'm glad that worked well!
