Should I enable Sender Rewriting Scheme (SRS)?
Hello,
I have a dedicated server with several domains hosted, there are quite a few redirects to Gmail, Hotmail, etc.
I am looking for information about SRS but what I find is old and contradictory. Is it advisable to enable it nowadays? Are there any drawbacks? I do not see any errors related to SPF or DKIM in the exim log when emails are redirected.
Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey there! I would say if you are *not* seeing issues with the SPF or DKIM checks on your messages, this isn't something you need to enable.
In-depth details on how it works can be found here:
so I'd read through that if you haven't come across it already.

If you / your users are forwarding any mail from their accounts to external email accounts, then yes you should enable SRS.

Thanks to both of you. I think I need a third answer to break the tie.
cPRex, as you have access to cPanel support tickets, any known issues with enabling SRS?

I'm not aware of any major issues at this time, no.
