can not create FTP Account

Hi
I can't create FTP Accout show error : You have already used your maximum allotment (1) of FTP accounts. But the error is being shown before reach the limit.

  Hey there!  Do you have root access to this server, or just access to that one cPanel account?

  Thanks for confirming that.  When we've seen this happen in the past it is because the FTP accounts were linked to a domain that no longer exists on the machine, and that domain may not have been properly removed.

  Can you check the following area of the system to see if there are any entries for FTP users?

  /etc/proftp/username

  If you see any entries in that file that shouldn't exist, you can manually edit that file to remove them.
