Cpanel DNS only package

Hey. 

I have 2 types of clients. "domain only" and "domain + hosting" Currently im using a cloudns setup where all domain only clients are hosted on cloudns DNS, and all clients with webhosting, in cloudns the cpanel server is set as primary server.


But what if i want to completly host my own dns, i know i can setup cpanel DNS only servers. But what about the packages for the clients with domain only without hosting. What type of package can i make for them, so they can use the DNS servers without hosting anything besides dns ?

  Hey there!  If you create a cPanel account in WHM, you're going to get the hosting features, such as a user with a home directory, Apache configuration entry, and everything that goes with it.  Whether or not you use it or provide the client access to it is up to you, but it still has to be there.

  Your best option maybe to create a limited feature list and package using the following tools:

  https://docs.cpanel.net/whm/packages/feature-manager/
  https://docs.cpanel.net/whm/packages/

  and you could limit the features available that the user can see inside cPanel to only the DNS tools they need to edit the zones.  All the other things I mentioned, such as the Apache configuration and website and home directory would still exist, but they wouldn't be able to do anything with it directly through the cPanel interface if you limit the tools available.
