kernel.yama.ptrace_scope recommendations

Folks,

What value do you recommend for kernel.yama.ptrace_scope with cPanel 122 on CloudLinux9.  See the documentation for ptrace_scope here:

It's a shared server with only a few accounts that create custom programs.

  Hey there!  cPanel itself has no official recommendation on this value, but another user may see this and let you know their experience!

  Does any cPanel software fail if ptrace is not available?

  In general, we've only tested with this value set to 1, "restricted ptrace" so that would be safe, but I can't say what would happen if you completely blocked that access.

  Is there something specific you are trying to achieve or configure on the system?
