Emails returned from Gmail servers
AnsweredHello,
I have a wesbite hosted on Wix.com with email servers on CPanel. Recently emails to Gmail servers are being returned stating DKIM & SPF authentication issues. I checked my CPanel and the Email Deliverability Status seems to agree that there is an issue but I can't seem to repair it. Apparantly the SSL/TLS Status also shows errors on the www.website.com & www.mail.wesite.com domains but is green on website.com domains. I have forced redirect enabled for the domain and tried disabling it to fix certificate issues but it didn't help. I also tried deleting the certificates and removing records from the DNS Zone editor but these also don't seem to help.
Any help, tutorial or guide would be very helpful and appreciated :)

Hey there! In order to get this resolved you would need to ensure the SPF an DKIM records are configured wherever the DNS is hosted for the domain. This may not be on the cPanel server, but you can take the records from cPanel and copy them to the DNS server.

Hey @cPRex,
Thank you for the response. Unfortunately I am a noob and if you could dumb it down for me it would be helpful.
What do you mean when you say wherever DNS is hosted ? I have my domain purchased on the same service as my cPanel hosting. I changed the nameservers to point to the wix website and then created MX records pointing back to the hosting to access email services. Where do yo think I should make the changes and how can I copy them ?
Loads of appreciation for you help. :)

The fact that you changed your nameservers to WIX nameservers is why you have the problem. You now have to go into Wix and manage DNS records there, adding / modifying the SPF record, DKIM record, and also should add a basic DMARC record. Adding DNS records from within the Zone Editor of the cPanel account will not help you if your authoritative nameservers are pointed to Wix servers instead of the authoritative nameservers associated with your cPanel server.
When you created MX records in Wix to point back to the server, it was at that time that you should have taken care of SPF / DKIM / DMARC as well. But it's not too late :)
Go to the Email Deliverability page in cPanel for that domain, and it'll tell you the SPF and DKIM TXT records you need to add (to Wix). It won't tell you about a DMARC record though. So you should generate a DMARC record within the Zone Editor and then copy that DMARC record information to Wix DNS.

mtindor thank you for writting back. Sorry for the late revert but I'm travelling. The surprising thing is the nameservers and settings have been the same since the last 6 months and have been working correctly and only had this problem for the last week.
I followed your suggestions and did the same on Wix. I'll wait for the changes to take effect and get back to you with the results.
Thank you once again for your time and help. :)
