Session Issue in WHM: Automatic Logout After 10 Seconds

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue when trying to access WHM on my server. The situation is as follows:

1. I log in to WHM successfully.
2. After approximately 10 seconds, the session automatically logs out.
3. I attempt to reconnect, but the issue persists; the session always logs out after a few seconds.

This issue has been ongoing for several days and is significantly affecting my ability to manage the server.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or solutions to resolve this problem.

  Check in WHM -> Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings -> Security -> Cookie IP validation

  If it's strict, try with loose, or disabled.

  When you get logged out of the system, what exactly happens?  Are you forcibly removed from WHM, as in, you get taken back to the login screen?  Or do things just stop working and you notice that a new session fixes it?

  Are you able to try with a different browser or device?

  Hi cPRex, I'm having exactly the same problem here (except is more 5 seconds than 10), so I'll answer your question:

  I got taken back to the login screen, just like that. No matter how many times I try, it works perfectly normal for about 5 seconds and then it just pops out

  It's only happening on Firefox, it runs perfectly well in Chrome and Edge

  This has been consistently happening for about only 4 days, never before had I encountered such an issue, and now it happens every time

  I mostly use cPanel to access to the File Manager, and if I do that from cPanel shortcuts on Namecheap dashboard it also works fine

  That, and the fact that it's only happening on Firefox, make it manageable, but I'd like to address it in case is a general issue and there's an easy solution

  Do you have any plugins in that Firefox browser, like a VPN or any other security tools that could be causing this?

  OMG, problem solved, thank you very much!

  Turns out the one extension causing trouble was Dark Reader

  Sorry for not realizing in the first place, now I know another check-before-asking feature
