Unable to set up AutoSSL
AnsweredI'm currently in the process of overhauling the company website and getting rid of the annoying "connection not secure" message is on my list of things to fix. The website is currently using self signed certs and I would like to swap that over to AutoSSL however I do not see any option for this in my cPanel page. It looks like there is supposed to be a button for running AutoSSL in the SSL/TLS Status page, but its not there.
I saw on cPanels AutoSSL page that if you are running CentOS5 or CentOS 6 (32bit) you wont have access to it, but I cannot find any information to confirm if that is the build the server is on. The Server information page just says "linux". cPanel version is 118.0.25.

Hey there! Version 118 is our long-term support tier, so it is possible you are running an older system:
Hosting providers do have the option to disable the AutoSSL tool for their users, so if you aren't seeing that inside your cPanel interface that is the most likely explanation.
You would need to contact your host and bring up two issues:
-why your system can't be updated to a more recent version of cPanel
and
-why you are missing the AutoSSL button in your interfaceUnfortunately, without root access to the machine, you wouldn't be able to answer either of those questions yourself, so reaching out to your hosting provider is the best option.
