Strange issue Ethernet interface name changed
Yesterday I have "upgraded" from CloudLinux Solo to Shared Pro and restarted the server. My Bad server has not came online. When I checked the same via the KVM console I could see the network is not UP. I could see my old Ethernet device not active. Server was actively working good for past one year before this license change. My old ethernet device was defined as "enp9s0" all of a sudden I could see the name of the device connected to the system is eth0. I found the same using netstat -i command. I have to reconfigure network configuration settings to eth0 and IP came back online.
After that I have added the rest of additional IP's via WHM. Meanwhile the IPs are not routing good to the server now.
All additional IP's are affected in the server. I would also like to know how the ethernet device name was all of a sudden changed ? Is this issue related to cloud linux ?
I could see the below while searching in google

Hey there! cPanel itself doesn't control the names of the network devices on the machine. If this changed unexpectedly it would be best to speak with the hosting provider or datacenter to have them check the system and network to see what may have caused this.

HI Rex,
Do you think cloudlinux can cause the problem? As linode community many people has faced similar issue

I don't think this would be related to CloudLinux either, as a license change wouldn't change the networking. The most likely explanation is that there was a previous problem with the network that the reboot exposed.
