Elevate Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04
Hello,
As I understand, Elevate version 59 supports upgrading from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04. Is it safe to do this? Are there any instructions available? I did the Elevate from CentOS 7 to Alma Linux 8 without any issues. How is it with the Ubuntu distribution?
Best regards, Davor

Hey there! Yes, several users are already reporting they have successfully used ELevate in our Discord channel, and the instructions are the same as it was for the CentOS 7 work. All the documentation can be found here:
https://cpanel.github.io/elevate/
but let me know if you have any specific questions.

Didn't work for me, regretfully, when trying to ELevate Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 in Azure. I tried it several times and no blockers were found but the VPS disappeared each time after the reboot between maybe stages 3 and 4. Was never able to log back in after the reboot so I had to restore from snapshots. Hoping this becomes more stable and would love to see it work so I don't have to move to new server.

ak - sorry to hear that - you can always submit a ticket to our team, although without access I'm not sure we would have been able to offer much assistance. Perhaps seeing one of the systems in the "before" state before ELevate was run could have shown us something.

Thanks for your reply. We are still using the Ubuntu 20.04 server in production with our site after having restored the backup snapshot so I am able to give access or pull diagnostics or information about the environment if you think it might help to get the server upgraded. How can I help?

If you aren't able to use the WHM >> Create a Support Ticket page to get that started, please email cs@cpanel.net with a link to this thread and we'll see what we can do!
