We need to change hundred of domains and add a custom dmarc record. Since we use dns clustering a change in local version of named zone files is not enough.

This post suggest to do it manually and then change the serial number and finally do a dns sync.

But the perl script that it contains relies on a comment ;serial to be available inside the zone file and the new zone files that cpanel create does not have it in them.

Is there any other way that e can do it without using whmapi1? calling the api on hundreds of domains is really slow.

  Hey there!  I don't have a tool that is more automated than the API.  Would you be able to create a custom script for that work using the API?
