Problem install Comodo Modsecurity

i use Alma8 and cPanel 124.0.21

I try to install the Comodo ModSecurity vendor rules 

User this URL: https://waf.comodo.com/doc/meta_comodo_apache.yaml

and I get an error message:

"Error: API failure: The system could not download the file “https://waf.comodo.com/api/cpanel_apache_vendor”: curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 500 Internal Server Error "

How can it be solved? or am I using a URL that no longer works? What would be the updated and correct Comodo URL?

  Hey there!  It would seem that URl is no longer valid as I get the same error on a test machine when trying to connect to it manually:

  # wget https://waf.comodo.com/api/cpanel_apache_vendor
  --2025-01-13 14:41:30--  https://waf.comodo.com/api/cpanel_apache_vendor
  Resolving waf.comodo.com (waf.comodo.com)... 162.255.25.98
  Connecting to waf.comodo.com (waf.comodo.com)|162.255.25.98|:443... connected.
  HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 500 Internal Server Error
  2025-01-13 14:41:30 ERROR 500: Internal Server Error.

  Did you get that URL from somewhere in our documentation?

  What rules do you suggest installing?

  cPanel includes the OWASP rules by default.  There are many other rule packages as well, but I can't say for sure if they would work well for all our tools as we don't test those.

  If you have the tool, Imunify360 also offers a rule set as well.
