pdns_serve Error parsing 'example.com' from file '/var/named/example.com.db'
Anyone running into this?
I terminated a hosting account from server on December 13th, and still a month later these fill my /var/log/messages (replacing their domain with example.com):
Jan 13 00:02:36 hostname pdns_server[1605643]: Zone 'example.com' (/var/named/example.com.db) needs reloading
Jan 13 00:02:36 hostname pdns_server[1605643]: Error parsing 'example.com' from file '/var/named/example.com.db': Unable to open file '/var/named/example.com.db': No such file or directory: No such file or directory
Jan 13 00:02:36 hostname pdns_server[1605643]: Backend reported condition which prevented lookup (Zone for 'example.com' in '/var/named/example.com.db' not loaded (file missing, corrupt or primary dead)) sending out servfail
This server is part of a WHM DNS Cluster of only two servers that are always updated and equally matched - OS CloudLinux v8.10.0 STANDARD standard / cPanel Version 124.0.21

Hey there! This is related to a known issue our team is working on under case ZC-12388, where the DNS data gets out of sync. We have a fix in place, and it's going through final testing now so it will be included in all versions of 126 and it's scheduled to get backported to 124.
In the mean time, you can run this command to clean up the cluster:
/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/bin/dnsadmin --action CLEANDNS

Thank you very much for the response and info!
I do occasionally run the DNS Cleanup via WHM on both servers in the cluster, but have not done so recently. I've just run the command line you suggested and will check on /var/log/messages again later / tomorrow and if there's anything noteworthy will update this thread.
