Block servers from being access by the IP address
Does anyone know if there is current system in place to block cpanel servers from directly being access via the ip address?
Like if a server was being hosted at the ipv4 address of 1.1.1.1, and someone tried to connect to it via typing the http://1.1.1.1.
I know modsecurity made a CRS to block it like 10 years ago, so I'm thinking something like this has have been implemented.

Hey there! There isn't a tool in cPanel but the two options mentioned is that thread you linked are still perfectly valid ways to make that change. Are you having a specific issue with IP access causing a problem on the system?

Ah I apologize for not explaining properly, I was asking if cpanel has a mechanism in place to do something similar. This may be more of a question for our security provider, imunify360.
I wanted to ban access exclusivly via the IP address and force domain name uses due to the confusion it has been causing clients. Some the old school guys try to "check" the website before they point the IP address. It also causes issues with some security scanners0 -
Thanks for the clarification - if you'd like to see us add that option directly in cPanel could you submit a feature request over at features.cpanel.net and then I can bring it up with the team?
