Inquiry Regarding Rate Limiting/Deferral Feature for Specific Email Address
Dear cPanel Support Team,
I hope you're doing well. I have a question regarding the rate limiting/deferral feature in cPanel. Specifically, I’m wondering if it's possible to apply this feature to only a specific email address that is causing issues due to high volume or spam-like behavior, rather than affecting the entire cPanel account or domain.
Currently, when an email server is flagged or blacklisted, the feature slows down outgoing emails across the whole account or domain for one hour. However, I would like to limit this effect to the specific problematic email address in order to prevent disruptions to other accounts or services.
Could you please clarify if this is possible? If so, could you provide steps or guidelines on how to implement this?

Hey there! I don't have a way to apply that tool to just one email address. However, if a specific address is causing the issue, could you not just block the address? This could be handled with a Global Filter on the account.

I manage 100+ cPanel accounts on the server, so blocking specific email addresses is not an ideal option. I'm looking for a way to apply the automatic deferral to just the problematic email address, without impacting others. Is there a more targeted solution for this issue?

How are you finding the problematic address?

When a single email address within a cPanel account sends invalid emails, the defer status is activated for the entire cPanel account. I want to ensure that only the specific email address responsible for sending such emails faces the defer status, rather than affecting the whole cPanel account.

Ah, I understand what you're saying now.
I believe this type of change to the product would require a feature request, as that would require reconfiguring the feature. Would you like me to get one submitted to the email team for you?
