Edit default DMARC record for Mass Record Creation?
AnsweredIs there a method to edit the default DMARC record created by cPanel for a new account?
Or to edit the one used when cPanel applies DMARC using Mass Record Creation feature?
I don't find the built-in default policy of "none" to be very useful (!).

Hey there! Unfortunately no, there is no way to adjust the default DMARC records yet. I've created two cases about this behavior to see if we can get that improved:
CPANEL-46411: Create a tool or method to edit the default DMARC record
and
CPANEL-46412: Using the WHM >> Edit Zone Templates feature doesn't allow you to override the default DMARC recordI'm sorry I don't have a better workaround other than editing the zone manually after the account has been created, but if I hear any updates on either of those cases I'll be sure to post here!

That would be helpful. We currently set all DMARC records to this:
v=DMARC1;p=quarantine;sp=quarantine;adkim=r;aspf=r;pct=100;fo=0;rf=afrf;ri=86400

Any progress on this?

I don't have any updates on either of these cases yet. I'm hoping that CPANEL-46411 can get included in version 132, but I'm not sure if we'll meet that timeline.

Update - it looks like this did make it to version 132 so you should be seeing that when that version is released!

In case anyone was looking for it, the feature is documented here: https://api.docs.cpanel.net/specifications/whm.openapi/mail-dns-settings/emailauth::set_default_dmarc_record
whmapi1 set_default_dmarc_record record='v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:dmarc-reports@example.com;'
