How can I set a new wp Install to a subdomain in wp ToolKit
When I try to install a new instance of WP in the toolkit it only allows for my domain/newsite. When I clone a site though, the interface allows me to add a new subdomain as part of the process. Is there any way to have this part of the "install new" system? Is it already there, but I just missed it?

Hey there! Does the subdomain that you're trying to install to exist on the server already? If it does, it will show up in the drop down menu for the domain after you click "Install" on the WP Toolkit page.

It doesn't. I'm thinking about future when I create dev sites, I want to have a quick process. I could create the subdomain first, (I just tried this and the subdomain does show up then) but I really like how the "clone" process offers to create it as a step in cloning a site so I wouldnt have to go to domains first. There's no way to make that work?

Interesting...let me do some more testing on this and I'll let you know what I find!

I did reach out to the WP Toolkit team about this behavior, as it would seem to make sense (at least with my current understanding) to have the same behavior in both pages. However, most of that team is located in Europe and past their workday now, so I may not hear back until Monday at this point.
I'll be sure to let you know once I get more information on this one!

I heard back from the WP Toolkit team and they decided this would be a feature request. Would you like me to submit that one for you through our site at features.cpanel.net?

yes, thank you. What is the turn around on something like this? Obviously no rush as I can do it through the process you described first, but I'm curious!

It really depends - I submit the request, I get it over to the team, then they decide if they even want to make the change, then decide how long he work will take, get it assigned to a development team.
Sometimes that can all happen in a week, sometimes they decide not to add the feature at all. There's really no way for me to provide a timeline or estimate. BUT...I can at least update the thread if I hear more details on my end.

Also, if it wasn't clear, I did submit that feature request and I let the WP Toolkit team know!

After speaking with the WP Toolkit team I've created case EXTWPTOOLK-12792 so they can look into this behavior and see if that's something they want to adjust!
