New client facing 3rd party functions
Hello,
Why does cPanel think it is okay to promote their new WebPros recent acquisition to my users? They can actually use features like SiteJet, but the social media manager requires an outside account so does the server monitoring.
I pay more and more every quarter for cPanel on my servers going from $25 a month to now over $100 per month for one server license. I should not have to monitor the server for the next WebPros company promotion on my paid license.
Can anything be done about this?

Hey there! You can disable the Social tool through WHM >> Feature Manager so it won't show up for end users.

Yes. However, updates occur with these features auto-enabled for all feature sets.
I should not have to go through every server and every feature set to disable marketing on a PAID license.
Don't get me wrong, there are some really nice add-ons like the SiteJet and WordPress toolkit, etc.
However, the items like monitoring and social tools are not giving a feature local to the PAID cPanel interface.
It's bad enough that we see rate increases quarterly. Now, webPros wants to leverage my PAID license without compensation to me or discounted licensing.
How can I stop webPros from promoting their items to my customers? My customers are NOT THEIR CUSTOMERS.0 -
Unfortunately there isn't going to be a way around that, as all new features will default to "on" from this time forward.
The best thing you can do is send your feedback to cs@cpanel.net or your account manager if you are a Partner.

great thanks.
This right up there with cars advertising you on your infotainment center in your car.
It is a huge over reach.
The only thing we can do is find a replacement control panel that won't advertise to my private customers.
WebPros is not going to change anything. They are VC group looking to squeeze the existing customer base for more profits like a drunk sheriff.
Have a nice day.
