Hey there!  If the server is experiencing slowness in multiple areas, that may indicate a problem with the overall load on the machine.  Do you see high load on the machine at this time?

Since there were errors in the interface you can also check the cPanel error log at /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log for more details, as I would expect that to show something relevant to the issue.

To examine the general health of the server you may want to use our System Status Probe script by running the following command:

    curl -s https://ssp.cpanel.net/run | sh

We run this on every machine we access through our support system and it will give you a lot of information about the machine.  Please don't paste the full output here as it is very long and will contain sensitive data, but if you'd like me to review something specific from that output feel free to share!

The best thing to do would be to run this command:

    tail -f /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log

while you try and create a new domain or account on the server.  This will show you the logs in real-time so hopefully that will give a more specific error message.

Thanks for the additional information.  I'm wondering if there is a specific issue with the pixelmit user on your system.  Are you able to run the API on other domains on the system?

If so, can you try running this to see if this indicates any specific issues with that account?

    alias acctinfo="/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/perl <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cPanelInc/tech-acctinfo/master/acctinfo)"
    acctinfo pixelmit

That will print out a list of details about the account, and would show if there are any errors that need to be fixed.
