Problem: package srvadmin-isvc-snmp-11.1.0.0-5761.el8.x86_64 from @System requires srvadmin-hapi = 11.1.0.0, but none of the providers can be installed
AlmaLinux v8.10.0 STANDARD standard
cPanel Version 124.0.28
Hello! cPanel won't help because my license is from my hosting provider, Aptum. They won't help because I'm on a dedicated server and my "server is part of our dedicated hosting product line and as such the scope of Aptum inclusive support is limited to networking and hardware related issues only (e.g. network port issues, network routing protocol issues, power management issues, hardware instability and complete hardware failure)"
For about a week, I'm getting maintenance failures. When I run "yum -y update" I get the following:
Last metadata expiration check: 1:17:36 ago on Sat 15 Feb 2025 05:07:38 AM PST.
Error:
Problem: package srvadmin-isvc-snmp-11.1.0.0-5761.el8.x86_64 from @System requires srvadmin-hapi = 11.1.0.0, but none of the providers can be installed

(try to add '--allowerasing' to command line to replace conflicting packages or '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or'--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)
I've run the "clean all" an "makecache." Doesn't help. If I try "allowerasing" or the other suggestions will I mess up my WHM/cPanel installation?
This is beyond me. I don't mind paying for help, but I don't know who to ask.

Hey there! The place you purchased your license should be your support contact for all issues related to cPanel. Then, if they can't resolve the issue they would escalate the problem to us. If you feel you aren't getting the support you're expecting from your provider, please send a message with all the information you have to cs@cpanel.net.
As far as the issue here, these are Dell repositories so they would likely be related to your specific server's hardware and not the cPanel system.
Since that is the case, the "allowerasing" option will not change any of the cPanel packages on the machine, so it's fine to try that. This looks like a case where it's trying to install a package from two different repositories, so "allowerasing" may be enough to take care of that.

Thank you for your help. I'm a novice at this, so I can't explain it, but the problem appears to have gone away, or fixed itself, or something.

That's the problem. Because I have dedicated hosting and my cPanel license through Aptum, they don't offer any cPanel support. After telling me that, they simply closed my support ticket, marked as "resolved."

Thanks for that - I've passed that feedback along to our accounts team.
It's also completely possible there was just a temporary repository error and it resolved itself. I'm glad to hear things are working now!
