Hey there!  It sounds like there could be deeper issues with the machine than the cPanel software.  The first thing I would check is a review of /var/log/messages for the last 24 hours to see if there are any odd errors reported.  That should show details about failed service starts, and I would expect to see something helpful there.

If not, try a "yum update" - I'm expecting it to fail based on what you show above, but Yum usually gives detailed output that may point you in the right direction.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to reply to my post,

we ended up restarting the server yesterday, and everything worked normally, then sometime later it feels like its failing a bit by bit, like, lots of pages in the whm stop working, like "apache status", "php manager", the "top/ load average" page etc.... most services cannot be started/restarted and they just hang (similar to cpanel service in original post)

we checked "/var/log/messages" and we found there is one particular error that is thrown almost every 30 seconds

also running yum update found nothing to update, maybe because it already updated after we restarted the server,

    [root@host7 ~]# yum update

Searching online to hopefully understand what's going on, we stumbled upon an old thread that has an issue a bit similar to ours, and in one of your responses you suggested to run this script

    curl -s https://ssp.cpanel.net/run | sh

we tried running this but unfortunately it also hangs and does not output anything except "SSP 5.00.055" and blank aread

It's odd that SSP doesn't show anything.  I believe this server has serious issues and you need to get your host involved.  They could likely read what is in that core dump and also check the general health of the machine, but these problems sound like they are deeper than the cPanel software.
