cPanel change the main IP at any time

My server's main IP is xxxxxxxx.244, cPanel keeps changing my main IP out of nowhere to a second IP xxxxxxxx.227, my reverse DNS is misconfigured and everything else, I'm having problems with clients not being able to send emails.

  Hey there!  When you say cPanel is changing it there are a few areas we can check.

  The first thing to check would be the main shared IP in WHM >> Basic WebHost Manager Setup.  Is the address changing there?

  It's also more likely there is an issue with the NAT configuration on the machine that is getting reset as part of the nightly update.  Does this command show the correct IP address?

  cat /var/cpanel/cpnat
