SpamAssassin scan only forwarded mail but not mail sent directly from server
AnsweredIn Exim Configuration there are two settings I'm unsure of:
1) Scan outgoing messages for spam and reject based on defined Apache SpamAssassin™ score
and
2) Do not forward mail to external recipients based on the defined Apache SpamAssassin™ score
If I want to allow hosted websites to be able to send messages directly from their site (i.e. originating on my server) without requiring SpamAssassin scanning, but I want any incoming messages (i.e. external origin) that are then being forwarded by my server to be scanned for spam before forwarding, do I disable #1 and enable #2?
I think #2 is fairly straightforward, but #1 has me wondering if it includes all outgoing messages, including messages that are being forwarded. If that were true, then enabling #1 would also (essentially) be enabling #2 as all forwarded messages are eventually outgoing messages.
Thanks for any clarification you can provide. :)

Hey there! Yes, for your situation you'd disable 1 and enable 2.
#1 does include all outgoing messages, although the system is smart enough to handle forwarded messages differently.
