Features showcase
Hello,
I disabled this social thing as feature once upgrade process completed however i am unable to get rid of this (see attached). I need to have feature showcase enabled in future however i want to get rid of this feature spotlight called 'Social Media Manage.....'.
Should i have to see this screen every time i login to WHM by clicking the Exit to WHM following by a popup window? Why don't we have the option to choose for notifications once we login to whm? This is rediculus. We're in 2025 the AI generation.

It's almost "spam" when cPanel tries to force the introduction of a new feature (which, by the way, is a service the client must then pay for separately). For administrators, there should clearly be an option to immediately disable this feature, but there isn't. cPanel only gives you the option to activate it immediately or see this message again next time. We're forced to accept this feature and then have to go through the additional work of going to the settings and disabling it.
I sell hosting! Space on a stable server that runs quickly and securely for the client to host their website and emails. I'm not interested in the client's social networks!.
When will cPanel put the focus back on server administrators? Perhaps improve the backup system? There have been forgotten forum posts for several years, some with very basic but very useful requests, and no one takes them into account. (And I'm referring to things as basic as the ability to specify which backups (daily, weekly, monthly) should or should not be copied to the remote location.)

Can you not click the "save settings" button? That will keep it from showing up in the future.

I understand that; however, i don't want the commands (see note below) to run before or after making this selection. I'm not interested, so it would be better if we could reject settings that don't concern us from being saved in the future.
Could something like that be implemented?
cPanel is an excellent tool. It's unfair to follow such practices and not provide us an option to reject a setting between updates.
Note: Even though i have not saved this feature yet, it magically appears in cPanel, requiring extra steps to disable it. This is rediculous.0 -
The feature showcase doesn't give you the option to enable or disable features - it's just informational and letting you know that a new feature has been released.
I've filed a case, CPANEL-46528, with the user interface team to change the language of that button as "Save Settings" isn't always an appropriate description of what is happening there. Sometimes it's just information so a simple "okay" would work just the same. There is also a larger redesign effort happening around feature showcase, so it will likely look completely different in the future.
