Hey there!  I don't have a way to do this, but it sounds like a good idea to me!  Could you submit this over at features.cpanel.net or would you like me to do that for you?

Ok, please ellaborate and post the feature request, share the URL, and I and others will vote for it.

That isn't exactly how it works.  The feature requests we receive aren't made public unless we manually add them to the Under Consideration tab at https://features.cpanel.net/tabs/8-under-consideration so for this particular issue there isn't a link or way to have other people vote.

However, if others submit the same issue we'll see that come into our system.

I did go ahead and submit that request for you and I'll bring it up with the team - we might even discuss that one in our meeting today.

Update - I spoke with the team about this issue and they had me create an improvement case, CPANEL-46617, so this can be evaluated.  If I hear anything else I'll be sure to post an update!

Lovely! You can be sure that this will be an excellent addition. If there are doubts about enabling things by default, this could be implemented as a Tweak Setting, so that anyone who needs or wants to enable it can do so.

But seriously, nowadays only 0.0001% of websites require HTTP instead of HTTPS, and for those cases, the customer can always turn off the forced redirect and happily continue with their lives.

Oh for sure, I think it's a solid idea, and it almost makes sense to just do it by default anyway.
