Global Email Filters problem - Sendmail directory missing
Hello
I noticed that our clients were having trouble creating filters in the "Global Filters" option and upon investigating the situation, I noticed that the /usr/sbin/sendmail directory was missing.
Global Email FIlters Error:
Missing /usr/sbin/sendmail directory:
I fixed the situation by running the following script:
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_pkgs --fix
Running the command:
After running this script, the directory was restored. Is there any reason or motive for this to be happening on multiple cPanels?
Problem solved:
My server:
OS: CloudLinux release 9.5 (Vyacheslav Zudov)
cPanel Version: 118.0.41

Hey there! I don't have a good explanation for this behavior as that specific file is handled by the Exim package itself:
[root@host ~]# rpm -qf /usr/sbin/sendmail
cpanel-exim-4.98.1-2.cp118~el8.x86_64so it would be odd that the file was missing. The fix you ran reinstalled exim, which replaced the missing file, but at this time I don't have any other reports of this behavior happening.

Thanks cPRex, I will monitor the situation. Just to give you some context, the same problem occurred on at least two cPanel servers.
