Why Not Mailman 3.X
I am not a web expert, or anything like that, and I don't want to seem like a complainer, or whiner, but?? I don't understand why cPanel made the decision to continue developing Mailman 2.X. Granted Mailman 3 is complex, and still missing stuff, but it has two things I desperately want, with my 400 plus lists, real search, and an integrated web UI. It is criminal that cPanel hasn't put search in Mailman, when I tried with add-ons it broke something in cPanel and I was told I would not receive support unless I removed search. If cPanel used its resources to aid with Mailman 3 development, and participated in open source development as they should, we would ultimately have a better product. Instead you are going with 2.X and it has been broken for over three weeks without a word from anyone. Is this any way to treat your customers.?!

As for why we aren't implementing version 3, there's several reasons. While the name is the same, that's really the only similarity - it's a different interface and different backend, so it would be extremely disruptive to users and would also require a complete retooling of the cPanel system to work with it. We also wouldn't be able to maintain two versions so we would have had to force everyone to migrate to the new version, which isn't without risk.
