Email folders to be moved from one email account to another email account in the same server

Hi, I need to move all the email accounts and all the emails contained in them, from xxx.com to yyy.com. The two domains are on the same server. I read that I can move the folders inside mail/xxx.com/* to mail/yyy.com/, both emails have already been created. solution  Thanks in advance!

  Hi,

   

  This solution may work if both domains are on the same cPanel account. However, if both domains are on different accounts it would lead to permission issues since the mail would be owned by different users.

   

  If you're moving email accounts you would also need to take the passwd and shadow files into account. These files would be stored inside /home/cpaneluser/etc/domain.tld and contain the credentials for the email accounts. Often times it can be easier to migrate mail by changing the primary domain from xxx.com to yyy.com, which would automatically update the email addresses from example@xxx.com to example@yyy.com. However, this would require that yyy.com does not exist on the server and that xxx.com is a primary domain. I suggest making a backup of this account before making any changes.
