Clamav update
AnsweredHello,
i receive the following warning. How can i update the Clamav on cPanel?

-
Hey there! I would expect the nightly cPanel update to take care of this. If that isn't happening automatically, can you let me know what version of cPanel you are using? You can see that number in the top header of the WHM interface.

Hi cPRex,
same for current and fresh installs with version 126.0.14
Thx!

Thanks for the additional details - I see what's happening here.
I've created case CPANEL-47014 for our team to get that updated so they'll get that handled soon.

Thank you for the update.
I confirm the version: 126.0.14. Should we apply any command manually as for this?0 -
At this time no, there is nothing you can do manually to resolve the issue. Our team is working on this and once it is fixed the server will automatically update.

Great! Thank you!

You're welcome!

Any updates on when this will be fixed? I am currently seeing the same message in logwatch.
1 -
There is actually a fix published in version 128, and the team is seeing if they can add this to 126. If I get more details I'll be sure to share them!
2 -
Okay thanks cPRex. I assume version 128 isn't stable yet?
0 -
You can always see that in WHM -> Server Configuration ->Update Preferences
128 is currently in CURRENT.
"A “release candidate” version that is tested but may not be feature-complete."0 -
Yes, 128 was just moved to Current. You can also check this at layer1.cpanel.net

Update - this is being added to versions 118 and 126, although I don't have a release date for either just yet.
2 -
cPRex, thanks for the update. Will this be an auto update or will I have to manually update when available?
0 -
It will be completely automatic once it's released. As soon as I have version number, I'll share it!
1 -
Update - this will be released in the next version of everything, which are:
118.0.45
126.0.17
128.0.60 -
Thank you for the update!
Q: Why are there 3 braches of versions? 118, 126 and 128? I am in 126.0 -
cPanel maintains several different branches for various user needs. By default, we install with Release, but there are others to choose from:

ClamAV just released this update on Wednesday so we haven't added this on our side just yet. We have case CPANEL-47870 where we're tracking this work, and I'll be sure to post once I have an update.

Thank you.
So, will i have to update this topic once we have a new release from Clamav in future or?0 -
You won't need to do anything on the server as cPanel will update that package automatically once it is released.
0 -
I know i won't.
I meant here on this topic in future. Will I need to update this topic every time ClamAV releases a new version, or will the cPanel team be notified about the upgrade and proceed with the process automatically?
I did a month ago from 1.0.5 to 1.0.8 and now to 1.0.90 -
Our developers will see the update.
