cPanel customer activity log
Hi, how are you doing? There's something I'd like cPanel to have, but I don't know what you think about this.
It would be great if cPanel had some kind of customer activity log. Clients should be able to see it in cPanel and we should be able to see it in WHM. That log should include activity with the IP address of the person accessing cPanel and monitor every time email accounts, FTP accounts, databases, password changes, file deletions with the file manager, cPanel logins, PHP version changes, etc. are created or deleted.
We often have clients open tickets indicating that things were changed or deleted, saying they weren't the ones who did it, and we don't have a quick and clear way to validate their claims.
Is this something you've already analyzed and ruled out, or did you never consider it?

Hey there! We've had requests for an "audit log" type of log before, but so far it hasn't been implemented. I've submitted a feature request to the team and we'll talk about it during our next meeting, which should be a week from today, and I'll be sure to follow up!

Thanks. I think it would be a great addition for hosters and clients.

Update - the team liked this idea and I've created a page at https://features.cpanel.net/c/227-audit-log to get feedback from other users about this. i already have 6 responses about it from searching older requests.
Thanks for bringing this up!

That's great news! I hope it starts to be implemented, at least in a basic way, and improves over time. I think it can be very useful for everyone.

It would definitely be a useful tool - I hope it gets adopted as well!
