Setting Host Access in WHM
Hi, i am unsure if i should block 2082 or not, i have heard that the system may use it. Here is my host access settings since i am the only user on the server. WHM, Cpanel, Webmail, and others are all only accessable via my private static ISP ip. Does this appear to be correct, and is it ok to block port 2082 as well?
Thanks :)

Hey hey! Port 2082 is the non-secured Webmail port. If you ever access domain.com/webmail without first typing in the https, you'll want to leave that open.
If the access is already allowed for your specific IP globally you could block that port for everyone else.

Thanks :) i never use anything without https, every time i see a setting that gives me a choice between https and http i always choose https only. Also i never access webmail directly via the browser, its always only via cPanel. And since i am the only user on this server and that will never change i try to block webmail browser direct access any way i can. That also goes for shutting down SSH, FTP and any other feature that gives alternate access. I feel the best way to secure my server is to limit access to the very minimum, and then even restrict that to my private ip. I do understand that if my private IP should ever change (should never happen) then i would be totally screwed access wise.. :)
