Error Establishing a Database Connection Website Not Opening

Hi,

I'm getting the error "Error establishing a database connection" when trying to open my website, and the site isn't loading at all. I'm using cPanel for hosting.

Can anyone help me understand what might be causing this and how I can fix it? I haven’t made any recent changes to the site.

  Hey there!  The most likely issue is that a database password changed.  You'd need to know the configuration settings for the database to start troubleshooting.  Usually those are found in a configuration file related to your website and it would specify the host, username, and password that is used to connect to the database.
