Where can I find messages from Mailman that is saved via the Preserve message for site administrator checkbox, May 2025
Dear everyone
When I receive requests to mailing lists created in Mailman under CPanel, I can select a check box called "Preserve message for site administrator". As I understand this feature save a copy of the request so I as administrator can take a look on the message at the later time.
Where can I find these messages?
When I look under the Mailman administrative interface for the mailing list I only can find "Request", but here I only can see if new request waiting, I not can find the earlier message that I have saved via the check box "Preserve message for site administrator".
I using CPanel 126.0.16.
Very thanks in advance for your answer and have a nice day.
Regards,
Anders

Hey there! The Mailman docs say:
"Preserve message for site administrator: this will keep a copy of the message in the admin requests section even if you choose an action other than defer."
so if you're not seeing it there you may need to create a ticket so there can be more investigation about this on your account.

Hi again, and thanks for your answer.
1. Is it understand correctly that I access the Mailman Requests page on the following link:
https://example.com/mailman/admindb/listname_example.com
, and this link only give me access to the page where I can approve requests? If I first create a moderator password, and try to login via the link above I can find some requests. When I here select the "Preserve message for site administrator checkbox", and after that try to login with my administrator password, I fine can find the requests that I have saved via the Preserve message for site administrator checkbox.
2. Is it also understand correctly that the link
https://example.com/mailman/admindb/listname_example.com
, only should be used of a mailing list moderators where I have created a password to the moderators, instead of
https://example.com/mailman/admin/listname_example.com
, there should be used of the administrator for the mailing list?I apologize for my confusion regarding Mailman and CPanel.

1 - Yes, that sounds correct.
2 - Those URLs are just different functions. admin/listname_example.com will show all the options available for that list while admindb/listname_example.com shows the administrative requests.
