wp-toolkit no longer detects wordpress installations
WP Toolkit stopped detecting all WordPress installations on multiple servers (cPanel 128.0.13 - AlmaLinux 8/9
Hello,
We are experiencing a critical issue with WP Toolkit on multiple independent servers.
-
On both servers, WP Toolkit suddenly stopped detecting any WordPress installations.
-
This happened on 3 completely separate servers, at the same time, starting yesterday.
-
No changes were made to either server before the issue started.
-
Both servers are running the latest cPanel version 128.0.13 on AlmaLinux 8.
-
When running a "Scan for WordPress" in WP Toolkit, we receive an error, and no WordPress instances are found.
ERROR "Scanning for WordPress websites was performed. To re-add previously detached sites, remove .wp-toolkit-ignore file in the site's document root, then run Scan again"
No .wp-toolkit-ignore file was found anywhere in /home
Since this occurred simultaneously on multiple servers without any system changes, it may indicate a recent update or backend issue affecting WP Toolkit detection logic.
We would appreciate your investigation and any guidance on resolving this.
Thank you.

Hi there,
We experienced the same issue earlier today. After some digging, we came across the following article which helped us resolve it:
https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/32731714006551-Update-to-latest-cPanel-110-126-or-128-versions-removes-addonfeatures-directoryOnce we followed the steps from the article, our WordPress installations reappeared in WP Toolkit.
Hope this helps!0 -
