Adding a subdomain to an account that points to another account
AnsweredHello,
I have two different accounts on my server, let's call them "domain1.com" and "domain2.com"
I want to create a subdomain on "domain1" account like this: "subdomain.domain2.com" that points to "domain1.com/subdir"
Of course, these two accounts belong to different users so when I try to create the subdomain I get the error:
The domain “subdomain.domain2.com” may not be created by “domain1” because “domain2.com” is already owned by another user.
I know it can be done somehow because I had already done this in the past. I just don't remember how.

Hey there! In WHM >> Tweak Settings you'd want to enable this option:
"Allow cPanel users to create subdomains across accounts"
and that should let you configure things as you expect.

Yes! That worked like a charm! Thank you cPRex

I'm glad that's all it took!

I am back with the same issue because now I am getting a new error:
This domain points to an IP address that does not use the DNS servers associated with this server. Transfer the domain to this server’s nameservers at the domain’s registrar or update your system to recognize the current DNS servers. To do this, use WHM’s Configure Remote Service IPs interface.
However, both domains are on the same server and they both use the same DNS servers associated with it.

I'm sorry to hear you're still having issues with this. If you perform a "dig NS domain.com" *from the server where you are trying to perform this work* does that give you the correct result?
