MySQL vs MariaDB

Considering it's June 2025, and Alma8 and cPanel 128.0.9 are currently being used, which database is recommended? MySQL 8? MariaDB11? Which database will cPanel support in the future?

  Hey there!  MariaDB is definitely doing to be the way of the future so if you wanted to start moving to that now it wouldn't be a bad idea.
