Hey there!  Just to confirm, you're receiving multiple copies of the same email?  As in, you access Roundcube, and you see the same message with the same subject repeated multiple times?

Yes. This is what is happening. Even your reply just now was repeated 4 times.

That's definitely odd - the first thing I'd check is the Exim log itself (/var/log/exim_mainlog) for the subject of the message to see if it's really being delivered multiple times because of a filter or forwarder that has been configured.  The log would show each delivery if the mailserver is really handling it multiple times.  This search should pull up the message from this Forums thread for you:

    grep "am suddenly getting" /var/log/exim_mainlog

I tried running this search & it took me to a site CVE-Search Results with 473 results that match the query - But they mostly seem to refer to Linux & are very complicated. I am sending you a screenshot of what the multiple mails look like - less than 5 minutes since deleting all the extra ones. Every mail refresh downloads more of them and turns the original message to unread blue again - unless I delete the extras & then move the original to a different folder. This, of course, very quickly fills up the deleted/Trashfolder with THOUSANDS of deleted items within a couple of days......

This search was meant to happen on the command line, so I'm not entirely sure where you're performing the search that would take you to a GUI interface.

I will need specific directions on WHERE & HOW to run the search so I can give you the results.

What appears to be happening is the download 'mechanism' does not know the messages are already downloaded so it sends them again & again & again etc. Since the last email from you (that I'm replying to now) it has appeared over 80 times as have a lot of other ones. However, the 'mechanism' DOES seem to know when I delete or move a message & it stops sending that one repeatedly.

I am not forwarding anything on ANY of the settings I can get at (on line & on PC), all settings appear correct but the problem persists. I think it is a server control issue, it's NOT being told a message has been sent/received but IS told when it's moved/deleted. The messages do NOT appear on list seperately but (as above screen shot) the original message shows as unread again, with all the 'new' ones repeatedly appended to it like the B&Q one above. When the message is selected, it opens the long list of all the other ones below it.

Do you have root access to the server, or just access to your one cPanel account?

I only have the CPanel account, Server access doesn't appear anywhere.

If I don't continually spend time deleting the extras, They completely fill my inbox within a couple of days. This morning I had to delete over 5000 emails from my inbox & then purge them from my deleted folder just to get Outlook to work properly..

Unfortunately there won't be a way for you to fix this without root access to the server, since there isn't a way for you to determine the cause.  You'll need to contact your host to have them investigate the system and track down the problem.
