Am I able to disable 2FA in cPanel / Manage Team
I created an additional cPanel user for a cPanel account. This can be done via User Manager or via Manage Team. From what I remember, there is a difference in setting the permissions for the directory that can be accessed with that new user.
If this user has 2FA activated, am I able to disable it or reset it?
It seems the only thing I can do is to delete the user in cPanel User Manager and add it again. The user has no more access to his 2FA device and therefore asked me to reset it.
Thanks

Hey there! I agree that this does seem like an oversight in the Manage Team system, as there is no way for the cPanel admin to control that 2FA access.
I've created case CPANEL-48121 to have our team address this and I've also linked this thread to the case so I'll be sure to post an update once I hear something on my end.

Thanks - I am not 100% sure because I cannot test every scenario but I think users with User Manager do not have access to cPanel at all. That means if someone talks about 2FA it must be the user from Manage Team.
I solved it by deleting the Team user and add it again. This required of course checking the permissions and re-sharing the FTP credentials with the person as well

That's exactly correct - User Manager users don't have cPanel access while Manage Team users log in to a limited cPanel interface.
Hopefully by the next time you need to do that we'll have a better tool in place!
