Rearrange account linked mail node

Hey there!  I don't have any good advice for this situation, unfortunately.  The manual approach is that guide seems to work well, although I'd double-check the /root/users file it creates as there will likely be some cruft data there - my personal server had _imunify, munin, and a random migration user that wouldn't be "real" users.

Other than that, the instructions seem good to me.

Can you let me know what specific backup bug you're referring to so I can look into that?

Hi, thank you for you reply. I'll be trying this over the weekend (in order to minimize risk)

The backup bug is regarding linked mail nodes:

I have another post here with that:

Thanks for linking that - I do remember that thread but we'd need to see a ticket on that.

Honest answer: we aren't going to add a rearrange account tool to the Mail Node system, I just don't see that happening, so creating a ticket to get the backup issue filed with our developers is likely the best long-term way forward.

    Thanks for your feedback.
I don't have permission to give access to the server. Starting to consider alternatives as Cpanel is falling really behind on cluster management. Really disappointed with this, especially with the price tag that comes along.

I do wish we had more cluster or distributed tools available as well, and that is a known weakness for sure.  We do have https://features.cpanel.net/c/80-offload-mail-services-from-cpanel-server on the feature site if you'd like to leave some feedback there, as I believe this would be the most beneficial tool for your situation.
