AH00112: Warning: DocumentRoot [/dev/null] does not exist

this makes many times The service “httpd” appears to be down. and web sites dont work.

everytime apache restarts

    ServerAdmin root\@localhost

    DocumentRoot /dev/null

became like this.

  Hey there!  This notice is letting you know that the service is down and was attempted to be restarted.  Do you see anything else helpful in the main Apache log (/etc/apache2/logs/error_log) around the time of the issue?  That's the first place to look for problems related to the service failing or restarting unexpectedly.
