Whitespace during webmail login
Why the hell doesn't cPanel clean the whitespace from the email address during webmail login? I'm getting invalid password when it is perfectly fine. All because of some whitespace that should already be trimmed.

Hey hey! I guess I'm not sure exactly how you're experiencing this - can you let me know exactly what process leads to that extra whitespace on your system?

maybe its just me. but when I had a space after the email address during webmail login it would not login. one would think whitespace would be automatically trimmed. just ignore this I guess.

Spaces are valid password characters, so not something we would auto-trim.

I think the OP means the email address field.
if you give the email address with trailing and/or preceding space(s) to the webmail login it will fail.0 -
Oh interesting - I've confirmed that as well. Let me poke the team.

It would seem the team agrees so I've created case CPANEL-48260 to chop any leading or trailing spaces from the username field, but specifically NOT from the password field.
