CAA / TYPE257 records breaking DNS Zone

I have some DNS zones that don't work because of CAA / TYPE257 records.  The site's for them don't work and the zone cannot be viewed in WHM/cPanel because of a "parse error".  Removing them manually fixes things.  

So I have a few questions:

Did something in WHM or cPanel add them, because we didn't add them manually?

They look properly formatted, at least to the human eye.  Is it a formatting issue or an issue with the parser?

What is the proper remedy?

  Hey there!  Is there any chance you could include a screenshot?  I'm not aware of a tool on our end that would add these manually.

  Thanks for the details.  Unfortunately I don't see anything like this on my end so I can't say for sure what may be happening here.  It would be best to create a ticket so this can be investigated.
