    Hello,

Today, regarding the CSF mirror update, based on the information provided in the link below, our server meets the update requirements. However, we still received the following error:

    https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/37654028162071-cPanel-will-provide-its-own-fork-of-CSF-starting-Feb-18-2026

    Error:
Oops: Unable to download: Can't connect to download2.configserver.com:443 (Name or service not known)

What should we do in this situation?

'Wait' is probably the correct answer. CSF will probably update later today or tomorrow the 19th.

    Hello Nelit

I think it's been postponed to February 19th

Nelit - the original configserver site is gone, so that is expected behavior.

We are waiting until tomorrow to push that update.

How will the update be performed?

The update is simply an autofixer that will point the CSF installer to the cPanel mirrors.

    Ok

    Instead of

    download.configserver.com
    download2.configserver.com

What should we expect to find?

We aren't going to be using the same file so you won't see anything.  We're just detecting that you have a compatible version we can take over and then everything will be handled through a cPanel package.

You can see examples of the package commands here: https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/37654028162071-cPanel-will-provide-its-own-fork-of-CSF-starting-Feb-19-2026

    Thanks cPrex.

How do I know everything went well and CSF has been taken over by cPanel? Will it be 15.01?

Has the CSF update been released yet?

How can we tell if it was successful?

I would expect CSF updates to be reflected in the upcp log file as is any other package being updated. If your server's been updated, it will have a version higher than 15.00 as seen on the CSF dashboard in cPanel/WHM.

As of 18:42 UTC +0900 (JST), the update has not hit the UPCP script for cPanel 110.0.88.

The update hasn't been released yet.

You'll see the package on your server with the name as outlined in the support article.

The version will get bumped from 15 to 16 :D

The updates haven't been released yet so there's nothing to see at this time.  You'll see the version bump to 16 when that happens and the package will be present on your server.

    cPRex

As soon as it's released, can you let us know here on the forum? :)

Maybe?  It depends on the time of day and if I'm around.  What likely will happen though is it gets released and then your server catches the update over night, so the actual to-the-minute update of when it happens doesn't really matter.

UPDATE: The release has been delayed to Wednesday February 25 to work out some issues.

    Hello,

Are you all ready for the update?  :)

Yeah ! I forgotten that it is tomorrow !!

I think you're all going to be very disappointed to see that nothing happens except the version number changes :D. There aren't any changes or updates with this release, so if all goes well you won't even notice a change.

(teeeeechnically there were some minor code adjustments that you'll never see, but still)

    Just the lack of:

“Oops: Unable to download: Can't connect to download.configserver.com:443 (Name or service not known)”

    will be worth it! 😉

The important thing that matters at the moment is that cpanel takes control of CSF and therefore the 15.00 version changes to 16 :) :D

Is the update scheduled for tonight?

    Hello bellwood

If I wanted to update manually, what should I do?

Now I tried manually updating the system and updating the server software, but it remained the same

    ConfigServer Security & Firewall - csf v15.00

CSF is configured to use the original ConfigServer/W2W update source.

The CSF AUTO_UPDATES setting is enabled.

    ciao70 - it'll happen automatically.

Let the update do it's thing later tonight.  The RPM has technically been public for a few days but the autofixer doesn't get pushed until today.

Definitely let the system work as it should - theres zero documentation for anything beyond cPanel doing it's thing, so, just let it ride.

So what's the latest - the systems are being updated by CSF or not?  It's hard to tell from this thread. . . and if it is what exactly are the commands we need to run to upgrade or make sure it was upgraded and if not how do we troubleshoot the lack thereof of it being upgraded.
