ssl logs in individual cpanel accounts taking up too much space
I have a couple of accounts whose home/user/logs folder have over half a gig of files in them (over half the quota of the account). The largest being the SSL log for the previous month.
Short of going into this account and manually deleting these SSL logs (really don't need it I don't think) is there any way to fix this or limit the size of this log?
In WHM tweak settings I have Log rotation size threshold set to 300MB but I am guessing that only applies to system stuff.

Hey there! Are these very active sites? When I check a live site on my personal server I see there is log rotation happening in /home/user/logs when the files reach a certain size:
-rw-r--r-- 1 user user 10K Aug 1 08:09 domain.com-ssl_log-Aug-2025.gz
-rw-r--r--. 1 user user 1.3K Feb 12 2022 domain.com-ssl_log-Feb-2022.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 user user 28K Jul 16 2022 domain.com-ssl_log-Jul-2022.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 user user 259K Jul 31 08:14 domain.com-ssl_log-Jul-2025.gz
-rw-r--r--. 1 user user 451K Jun 25 2021 domain.com-ssl_log-Jun-2021.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 user user 168 Nov 7 2022 domain.com-ssl_log-Nov-2022.gzAre you not seeing the logs gzipped after a period of time?

We had a problem last month with bots. The logs are gzipped. Four files total, two for July (one ssl and one non-ssl) and then two for this month. The ssl for last month is just under 500MB zipped. It's rotating them I can tell, but they are just too big for a small account.

Could you try adjusting the value in WHM >> Tweak Settings >> "Log rotation size threshold (Minimum: 10)" to see if that helps? The default is 300M, so you may want to see if that has been adjusted to 500M.
