Litespeed recaptcha - in whiteisting possible?
Hey everyone,
Currently my server load average is spiking very much, sometime it get upto 14-15 but normally it get stick to the 3-4 range.
when I checked I see lots of connection around i.e. 6k(even 200-300 connection per ip).
I doubt it to be a DDOS or application level attack from the hacker.
I have heard that Litespeed do support the recaptcha too which will mitigate so many application level attack as I guess.
I have idea too for its implementing like going from :7080 admin panel and server>security and set the keys its done.
But as I know it sometime also cause the issue to the legitimate clients or cpanel user. So sometime user may request to remove the recaptcha from their whole cpanel account(that means no any domain hosted in that cpanel should see the recaptcha)
how can I achieve This?
I have read lots of articile and did so many prompting but didn't found any solution that's why I am here finally. Please help if anyone has done it before

Hey there! Catpcha isn't going to help if there are several hundred connections from the same IP address - that is a classic DoS attack.
As long as that amount of traffic is being handled by the server you're going to continue to experience issues, and adding more tools on the web side of things will only cause other problems and increase server load.
If these connections frequently happen from the same IP addresses I would recommend blocking them at the firewall so they aren't able to make any connection at all. You could also try some software tools to stop the traffic, like what is outlined here:
If the traffic continues to happen at that point you may need to look into external solutions.
I would say that this post, combined with your login issues and other firewall problems, indicate a larger issue with the machine and you should have your hosting provider review the entire server and configuration to determine if things are working as best as they can.

That does not tell much unless you tell how many cpu cores there is in your server.

quietFinn main focus of this post was not about the DOS/DDOS but was focused for.
how can I disable captcha of litespeed for certain cpanel user instead of disabling it globally for all user.I have read lots of article and did so many prompting but didn't found any solution that's why I am here finally. Please help if anyone has done it before
Note: But have found some provider doing the same thing when user request for it to them.
