Hey there!  cPanel isn't officially supported on Ubuntu 24 just yet, so that is most likely the issue.  We're hoping to get that supported within the next few months as outlined on our roadmap here: https://features.cpanel.net/c/51-support-cpanel-on-ubuntu-24-04

At this time you'd need to install version 22 if you wanted to get cPanel installed.

Oh, I see, I somehow misread the version in the installation guide several. Thank you!

installing cpanel on ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS still failed?

https://docs.cpanel.net/installation-guide/system-requirements-ubuntu/ - here listed as recommended version

    please advise.

muhammad muqri - it seems the docs team may have jumped the gun a bit on that page as Ubuntu 24 support is only available in the Edge version of cPanel, which has only been live for about 24 hours as part of version 132.

I've spoken with the team and they are going to adjust that wording in the docs, but at this time you'd still need to use Ubuntu 22 for a stable system.

Update - that page has been updated to reflect the current installation requirements for Ubuntu 22 and 24.  We'll update this again once cPanel & WHM version 132 has reached a higher tier and becomes the default for new installations.
