failed with status: DEADLINE_EXCEEDED
Good morning.
I am getting a lot of emails from Google not going through to C Panel emails.
I get this error message: I used xxx.com below for my domain to hide it.
DNS Error: DNS type 'mx' lookup of xxx.com failed with status: DEADLINE_EXCEEDED: [type.googleapis.com/util.ErrorSpacePayload='RPC::DEADLINE_EXCEEDED']
This does not happen all the time, most times the email will go through, its just Google is having issues at times sending and out of all emails on this server, it seems to only reflect one account with the two emails on there. The DNS settings are correct for all as I have tested them when set up and several times afterwards. I also cannot find a straight answer with Google forums on this. SPF, DMARC, MX, DKIM, all set up and all green with cPanel and also with testers such as mxtoolbox. I have used cPanel for a long time and never had this type of error with email until a month or so ago.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey there! You're right - Gmail doesn't really say much about this specific error coming from their side:
https://support.google.com/code/answer/70638?hl=en
Most things with that specific error message end up pointing to their ads system here:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/php/timeout?hl=en
Can you confirm if this is a standard Gmail message being sent to a cPanel server?

Is your DNS also hosted locally on this machine? It might be worth checking /var/log/messages to see if there are any odd failures mentioned there, such as too many DNS requests or something else happening with the system.

yes on local - all dns and all checks out, going to open a ticket as this is conmtinuing to cause a lot of headaches and it seems to only effect the free gmail addresses
